Hello all. I just want to say that I do owe you all an updated entry on meeting up with my biological father, but I’m still processing. I haven’t even discussed it with dh yet. But I promise not to leave you hanging. When I’m ready to, I will write about it. Thank you for all of your support and prayers. They mean a lot to me.
Speaking of dh, he left for Afghanistan and has been gone for a week. Johanna isn’t taking it very well. She looks like she is to others, but I know this child really well and I can see how it has affected her. She’s even sleeping more than normal. So I decided to take us on a mini-staycation. That’s when you don’t leave your state, but just get a hotel room nearby and relax, do some site seeing, etc. Today we did a lot of resting and went to see a Nats game (we won, go Nats!). Tomorrow we will swim a little and just relax, grab some ice cream, chill. I hope everyone had a great week, and here’s to an even better weekend!
There will be over 70 exhibiting artists, live entertainment, food, and arts and crafts. While you’re there, go visit Pretty Girl Cupcakery, open from 10am-7pm this Saturday. They are also giving away 100 cupcakes this week and the flavor is White Chocolate Espresso! New fall flavors include Mint Chocolate Chip, Apple Pie A La Mode, Pumpkin Spice and Black Cherry.
