I’m super sad. Summer has ended and I miss it already. It’s crazy to believe that I used to hate summer, but my my my, how that has changed. A few too many frigid cold winters in the DMV area and I’m ready to hike it to Texas! Although I’m melancholy about the joy of summer being gone, I can’t help, but to ride on the delicious happy train of autumn. Leaves changing to the sumptuous tones of yellows, oranges, and reds, crisp air, pumpkin and apple picking… Almost enough to make me forget my love affair with summer. Almost.

If you’re like me, those last two items I mentioned are high on your list of fun fall activities and thankfully, this area has a ton of great farms to visit to delight your pumpkin picking heart. Here is a list of awesome Orchards and Farms located in the Suburbs of DC to enjoy much more than picking produce.
